‘Once-in-a-lifetime job’ up for grabs during Daytona 500

Busch Beer is “interviewing” for a full-time NASCAR Cup Series position on Kevin Harvick’s #4 Stewart-Haas Racing team for the 2021 season.

NASCAR fans will have the opportunity to interview for a full-time job like never before when this year’s Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway rolls around on Sunday, February 14.

Thanks to a partnership involving Busch Beer, the official beer of NASCAR and one of the primary sponsors of the #4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford driven by 2014 Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick, and Netflix, fans can apply to become the Busch Crewmaster, a full-time position on Harvick’s #4 team which pays a salary of $50,000.

This position was inspired by Netflix’s “The Crew”, which is scheduled to be released on Monday, February 15, the day after the Daytona 500. “The Crew” stars Kevin James as the crew chief of a fictitious NASCAR team.

The application process involves simply tuning into the Daytona 500 on Fox and answering questions that are presented on the broadcast and on Busch’s Twitter page throughout the 200-lap race around the four-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) high-banked oval in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Each answer will bring fans one step closer to potentially landing the job.

Here is what Daniel Blake, Vice President of Value Brands at Anheuser-Busch, had to say about the introduction of this position.

“We love creating these unique NASCAR opportunities for fans to get involved with both the sport and our brand. No one has ever conducted an interview during the Daytona 500 or given a fan a shot at joining a driver’s Racing Crew for the season, and we’re hoping to find an amazing candidate to join our NASCAR family with this once-in-a-lifetime job.”

Here is what Harvick had to add.

“I’m beyond grateful to work with such a skilled team at SHR, and it’s amazing to join Busch beer on this first-of-its kind experience to offer one lucky fan the opportunity to get on-site training for their dream job while learning from the best of the best.”

The Busch Crewmaster will have the opportunity to learn the tricks of the trade with insider access like never before, and in addition to the $50,000 salary, there are a few other perks that come along with the position as well.

The Busch Crewmaster will be given the opportunity to attend all remaining races on the 36-race 2021 schedule and fly on the Stewart-Haas Racing team plan. Training will also be provided by the Stewart-Haas Racing crew, ensuring that the winner will be able to take ownership of critical race team tasks.

This partnership between Busch and Netflix is aimed at giving fans access to the other side of the wall and will highlighting the tough job that helps drive success on the race track.

Fox is set to broadcast the 63rd annual Daytona 500 live from Daytona International Speedway beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, February 14.
